Like many organisations, churches are likely to be more effective when they work together, share resources and keep one another informed of their activities. In the past this has sometimes happened but not always on an ongoing basis. While there are organisations that already exist in order to encourage such “joined-up thinking”, turning ideas into actions has often been more difficult. CoRE is the working name for York City Centre Churches Care and Development Trust; a totally independent, ecumenical body representing the churches and associated Christian bodies within the walls of York City Centre.
The name is derived from the Trust’s 3 primary functions-
CoRE is working with existing organisations to provide help, support and resources to those who have a longing to see the City’s churches alive, vital and attractive.
