Book your places now for the Riding Lights Summer School

July 23rd-30th 2011
Queen Margaret’s School, Escrick

Riding Lights Summer Theatre School is one of the creative highlights of Riding Lights’ year. The week allows a wonderful range of people to get together from all over the country and make theatre happen.

Programme
Each member of the Summer School spends the majority of the day working with the other people on their course under the creative guidance of two or three theatre professionals be it devising a play, telling a story, creating characters, rehearsing, writing, exploring a new skill, learning a song, developing vocal or physical techniques. It’s really all about ‘play’ and enjoying the process of learning new ways to communicate.

And there’s even more….
Students can also enjoyed performances (both official and impromptu) by Riding Lights and its Roughshod community company, the shows by other performers, the Big Daily Warm-up, the theatre games and crazy ‘off the wall’ Members’ events, the creative worship, the chats in the café/bar and general mealtime buzz. There are also other opportunities to enjoy additional specialist workshops in other related skills such as movement, stage combat, comedy or puppetry.
