Two Planks and a Passion Open Auditions

Thursday 3rd March 6.30pm
Saturday 5th March 11.30am
The De Grey Rooms (next to York Theatre Royal)

Calling all budding actors and actresses!

Riding Lights Theatre Company, York Museums Trust and York Theatre Royal invite you to get involved in Two Planks and a Passion which will be on stage at York Theatre Royal this July.  Main parts, ensemble parts, speaking or non-speaking, whatever your experience everyone is welcome to go along and meet the team.

Performing alongside the actors of the In The Round Ensemble season, this professional production by Anthony Minghella tells the hilarious and moving story of what happened in 1392 when King Richard II visited York to see the Mystery Plays. This is just one step towards the new production of the York Mystery Plays in the Museum Gardens during August 2012.

There is no need to pre-register just turn up on the day! The auditions will be held in groups and will last no longer than two hours from scheduled start time. You will need to be available to rehearse from the beginning of April and free for the performances from Friday 1st to Saturday 16th July.

If you would like to be involved in another ‘off-stage’ area of production such as costume making, set or prop building, lighting, stage management or front of house then get in touch on mysteryplays2012@yorktheatreroyal.co.uk or call 01904 550174.

For those who have already applied for acting and production positions the team be in touch!
