Author biography:

Dr Michael Scott has had overlapping careers in biology, business strategy (Executive Director of Hargreaves Group PLC), and the arts. Michael is the author of several books, the most recent being ‘Siren Voices’ and ‘The Quest of Oswin Anfortas’. He is also a prolific painter and shares his passion for the arts by encouraging and supporting others in their craft. A book of Michael’s paintings, ‘Inward Eye’, is also available. Michael is already working on his next book project due for publication in 2010.

What’s the book about:

Mystikos means ‘mystery’ and refers to a long-established Greek philosophy and spiritual practice. It is a carefully structured book, consisting of twenty-one spiritual snapshots from early childhood to the present day, which are creatively explored and developed into themed essays. Uniquely, each chapter is prefaced by one of the author’s illuminating paintings and the writing conveys Michael’s love and knowledge of the natural world.
